This extension is not meant to remove all the ads from a page, but only those ads particularly intrusive, such as: overlaying in-document windows, scrolling banners, and co.
To disable the ads from the current page, simply click on the icon in the top right corner of the browser bar; click again to re-enable them. The current settings will be restored in the next session of the browser.
You can control some settings in the option page of the extension (located in chrome://extensions). For each element, you have 3 options:
- allow: the element will be left untouched;
- block: the element will be replaced by a fake element so you can choose whether to remove it or to unblock it;
- remove: the element will be removed by default.
You can also create per-site settings by adding a new profile (see the profile sub-panel).
Since version 0.2, it’s also possible to manually remove an element. To do this, block the current site (click the AntiADS icon), press CTRL and click on the element you want to remove. The element will become translucent and AntiADS will display a confirmation dialog before removing it.
